Bereavement Stories Shared With Compassion
We know how important it is to see our child’s face and say their name. Their lives matter and their stories deserve to be told.
If you feel comfortable, we invite you to share your child’s story here. You’re welcome to include a photo, their name and anything you’d like others to know about them.
If it feels right, you can also share how you honor them, carry their memory forward or navigate your grief. There is no wrong way to do this. Just your way. You are not alone.
Benjamin's Story
My son Benjamin was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in January of 2024. He had multiple rounds of chemotherapy and 2 stem cell transplants in an attempt to save his life. His cancer came back in January of 2025 and again late October of 2025. He chose to do intensive chemotherapy again. His bone marrow never recovered. He became transfusion dependent and his body failed him on February 8, 2026.
Through his journey he continued to fight. He prayed and re-dedicated his life to Christ. The loss of losing a child is the hardest thing I have ever endured. I am at the beginning of my grief journey and still trying to find the best ways to honor my precious son.
